The service will take place at 7:30pm at the Church of the Transfiguration and will involve choir, clergy and lay participation from all three congregations.
Lenten Bible Study – Tuesday mornings, beginning February 28th after the 10:30am Eucharist –
Postcards from the Edge: Reading Paul's Epistles as Real Letters – When we write letters, no matter how short, they have opening greetings, then some news or thoughts, and a good-bye message. Paul's epistles are no different, and by reading them as real letters we can learn a great deal about Paul and the people he was writing to. And we learn that we can understand Paul more easily than we thought! Please join The Rev. Marili Moore for 5 Tuesday mornings in Lent (February 28 - March 27) as we enjoy the New Testament, and come to know the special places and people who began our Christian church.
Lenten Study Group – Wednesday evenings, starting February 29th at 6:30pm –
For five weeks starting February 29th through March 28th, Fr. David will lead us in a study called “Countering Pharaoh’s Production-Consumption Society Today,” featuring prominent Old Testament scholar Walter Brueggemann. This group will feature video presentations and discussions as we follow the journey of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt to covenant-keeping with God, and consider how God is speaking to us today about our consumptive society through these stories.
Here is a typical weekly calendar of activities in our church. Many are open to the public. Please contact the various organizations directly or simply show up at the time shown. For additional information on church services please contact the church office.
